Hand Mirror gives Mac users a quick camera check from the menu bar. MeetReady brings that to Windows and adds microphone level checks, lighting indicators, and auto-popup before your Google Calendar meetings.
Hand Mirror sits in your Mac menu bar and gives you a quick camera preview with one click. It's popular with remote workers who want to check their appearance before joining a call.
Platform: macOS only.
MeetReady provides camera preview with a lighting quality indicator (too dark, good, too bright), real-time mic level visualization, and auto-popup 2 minutes before your Google Calendar events.
Platform: Windows 10 and Windows 11.

MeetReady runs in your system tray and connects to your Google Calendar. Two minutes before any calendar event, it pops up a floating window showing your camera feed alongside a mic level meter and lighting quality indicator.
This gives you time to fix your hair, adjust your lighting, and confirm your microphone is working - all before the meeting starts. You can also click the system tray icon anytime for a manual camera/mic check.
In settings, you can choose which camera and microphone to use (useful if you have multiple devices), and configure how far in advance the popup appears.
Hand Mirror + mic check + auto-popup before meetings. Free.
